Stage-Gate Inc. is seeking Engagement Managers to join our Global Solutions team.
SGI’s Global Solutions team provides strategic advisory and transformation consulting
services to clients. Our area of expertise is managing the transformation of New
Product Development (NPD) business processes to enable organizations to achieve their
growth and performance strategies. Our management consultants succeed by leveraging
SGI’s market-leading knowledge and insight within a teamwork-based culture that
values client satisfaction, innovation, entrepreneurship, integrity and professional
fulfillment.
Responsibilities of an Engagement Manager include supporting development of solutions,
proposals and approaches tailored to each client’s unique needs, and management
of client engagements and teams. Engagement Managers utilize both SGI’s proprietary
product and service offerings and their personal project and change management experience
to create transformation solutions for clients in a collaborative manner. They
are accountable for coaching and developing Senior Consultants, enhancing internal processes,
and building networks for business and personal growth.
Successful applicants possess significant management consulting experience with top
professional services firms, knowledge of NPD processes from client engagements or practical
product development experience in industry. They have managed or led successful
process, organizational structure and/or information technology consulting engagements. They
have created a track record of client satisfaction based upon projects delivered on time
and on budget. Finally, they are motivated to build experience and develop long-term
relationships with senior-level clients and recognized professionals in the Product Innovation
market.
Specific requirements for this role are:
- A completed University degree is mandatory. An MBA or equivalent experience
is a strong asset.
- Canadian citizenship or landed immigrant status, enabling travel for work outside
of Canada.
- Minimum 4 years management consulting experience with a professional services
firm.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (both written and verbal).
- New Product Development Professional Certification or willingness to achieve certification
(NPDP designation; see www.pdma.org for information).
- Management consulting engagement management experience with product or services-based
companies (e.g. Consumer Packaged Goods, Diversified Manufacturers, Financial Services
firms, other Services Providers, etc.)
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within Canada and the United States,
and occasionally to both Europe and Asia, 50-70% overall.
- Experience with New Product Development processes is a requirement.
