Stage-Gate Inc. is seeking a Principal to join our Global Solutions team.
SGI’s Global Solutions team provides strategic advisory and transformation consulting
services to clients. Our area of expertise is managing the transformation of New
Product Development (NPD) business processes to enable organizations to achieve their
growth and performance strategies. Our management consultants succeed by leveraging
SGI’s market-leading knowledge and insight within a teamwork-based culture that
values client satisfaction, innovation, entrepreneurship, integrity and professional
fulfillment.
Responsibilities of a Principal include growth of market segments within SGI’s
business, leadership of solutions development and implementation for each of our client’s
unique needs, and both management and mentorship of Global Solutions team members. Principals
utilize SGI’s proprietary product and service offerings in addition to their personal
consulting, project and change management experience to deliver Product Innovation Transformation
solutions in a knowledge-based and collaborative manner.
Successful applicants possess management consulting and leadership experience with top
professional services firms, knowledge of NPD processes from client engagements and/or
practical product development experience in industry. They have created and led
successful process, organizational structure and/or information technology consulting
engagements. They have created a network of enduring client relationships and a
network of contacts. They are motivated to develop long-term relationships with
clients and professionals in the Product Innovation market. Finally, they are entrepreneurial
in nature and are seeking an opportunity to truly influence the direction of a growth
business.
Specific requirements for this role are:
- A completed University degree is mandatory. An MBA or equivalent experience
is a strong asset.
- Canadian citizenship or landed immigrant status, enabling travel for work outside
of Canada.
- Extensive management consulting experience with a professional services firm.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (both written and verbal).
- New Product Development Professional Certification or willingness to achieve certification
(NPDP designation; see www.pdma.org for information).
- Management consulting experience with product, services or solutions-based clients
(e.g. Consumer Packaged Goods, Diversified Manufacturers, Financial Services firms,
other Services Providers, etc.)
- Willingness and ability to travel within Canada and the United States, and occasionally
to both Europe and Asia, approximately 50% of the time.
- Experience with New Product Development processes is a requirement.
