The
Stage-Gate® Process - Celebrating 20 Years of Innovation
Performance
ANCASTER,
ONTARIO, CANADA February 18, 2005 - A milestone is
celebrated at Stage-Gate Inc., a member company of the Product
Development Institute, as 2005 marks the 20 year anniversary
of the authentic Stage-Gate® process. Created
by Dr. Robert G. Cooper, the world's foremost expert in
Product Innovation, the 1st Generation Stage-Gate
process made its debut in 1985. Since then, the Stage-Gate
process has revolutionized the way companies innovate and
develop new products and technologies. No other approach
to Product Innovation has achieved such well-documented
success over a period of 20 years.
Today,
nearly 75% of North American organizations are using a Stage-Gate
process to drive Product Innovation largely due to the widely
available, best selling book Winning at New Products, 3rd
Edition. In January 2005, a commercially available
Stage-Gate Process Manual has become available specifically
