All of the trademarks and protected artwork of Stage-Gate Inc. are listed below share its reputation for standards of excellence, world-class performance, and successful product innovation. Our trademarks help consumers identify authentic products and services of Stage-Gate Inc., and thereby serve to distinguish us from our competitors.

It is illegal to inappropriately use, identify, and/or reference trademarks, including the well-known Stage-Gate registered trademark, to promote competitive products or services. Words and/or images that are confusingly similar to our trademarks may also be illegal in such circumstances. The unauthorized use of any of our trademarks, or a mark that is confusingly similar to any of our trademarks, may lead consumers to believe that your product or service is managed, sponsored, or endorsed by Stage-Gate Inc.

Stage-Gate Inc. takes great care in the development and protection of its trademarks and reserves all rights of ownership of its trademarks. You may reproduce, identify and reference our trademarks, tag lines and artwork when used in an academic environment or for the purposes of user testimonials and case studies provided you comply with the General Usage guidelines. This permission is an expression of our trust. In such references, you must be truthful, must not disparage Stage-Gate, and must not mislead the public as to any to any Stage-Gate Inc. sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement of your company, or your products or services.

All references must bear the registered mark and include the attribution statement “Stage-Gate® is a registered trademark of Stage-Gate Inc.” with a hyperlink to www.stage-gate.com.

General Usage

You may use, identify and reference our trademarks, logos, tag lines, artwork, packaging or the content of this website for the purposes of academic research, articles, user testimonials, and use case studies provided you comply with the guidelines for General Usage and properly identify the Stage-Gate Inc. trademarks.

Proper use of Stage-Gate Inc. trademarks reinforces the role of our brand for our products and services and helps prevent it from becoming a generic name that can be used by anyone (such as “kleenex” and “aspirin”). By adhering to the following rules, you help protect Stage-Gate Inc.’s investment in its trademarks:

  • When Stage-Gate® or a Stage-Gate product is mentioned in communications, ownership by Stage-Gate Inc. is used, or in the legal section of the communication or site in which it is referenced.For example, “NavigtorTM is a trademark of Stage-Gate Inc” including the hyperlink to www.stage-gate.com.
  • The first reference in the text to Stage-Gate® should be followed by the registered trademark. The first reference to a Stage-Gate product (e.g. NavigtorTM ) should be preceded by Stage-Gate and followed by the proper trademark symbol (e.g. Stage-Gate NavigtorTM)
  • The proper symbol for a registered trademark is ®. Don’t use the registration symbol (®) in connection with marks in countries where our marks have not been registered. Trademark rights vary from country to country.
  • The proper symbol for product names that are the subject of pending applications or are used in accordance with common law trademark principles is ™. (See the list below).
  • Do not create any new logo for Stage-Gate Inc., Stage-Gate International, or Stage-Gate product names.
  • Do not incorporate any Stage-Gate Inc. product names into your company’s product names.
  • Do not incorporate Stage-Gate or any Stage-Gate product names into any internet root domains or subdomains owned by your company.
  • Do not use Stage-Gate in taglines.
  • Do not connect your company name with Stage-Gate Inc. product names.
  • Alterations of the approved Stage-Gate trademark or Stage-Gate product names are not allowed, for example:
    • Do not change the form or representation of the product name, including misspelling, capitalization, or punctuation.
    • Do not abbreviate or incorrectly capitalize Stage-Gate trademarks. (e.g. “Stage-Gate Inc., not “SGI”).
    • Do not use the Stage-Gate trademark name for a product or service as a noun or verb, in the possessive form (for example, Stage-Gate’s or Stage-Gate Inc.’s) or in the plural form unless the trademark itself appears in that form.

Domain Names

Do not use Stage-Gate trademarks or potentially confusing variations in your internet domain name. This helps prevent Internet users from being confused as to whether you or Stage-Gate Inc. is the source of the website.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Such use could lead customers to believe that your product or service is managed, sponsored, or endorsed by Stage-Gate Inc.
